Nicki Minaj covers Teen Vogue, talks music industry
A rapper turned “American Idol“ judge is covering the pages of TeenVogue and dishing on the highs and lows of the music business. Nicki Minaj, 30 is covering the mag’s June/July issue after months of feuding with Mariah Carey. According to Minaj the music industry is similar to a high school hierarchy.
“People treat this business like it’s high school,” she tells Teen Vogue. “It can absolutely feel like one big popularity contest and you know what? I can’t be bothered. I can’t allow myself to play ridiculous games with grown adults in the industry. I can’t be nice to someone just because they’re hot right now. I can’t do it.”…
In addition to landing her latest magazine spread, Minaj is preparing to release her Nicki Minaj Collection at Kmart.
