“A social networking platform where women can share their experience based on their hair textures and lifestyle. We target African American women because we represent 32 percent of the market and we need to have a personalized experience when it comes to our hair,” said Mitchell.

“Currently, there is nothing out there that in the market that combines everything (to do with) beauty and hair,” added Martin. “You may have YouTube where they can show you a tutorial. You may have Facebook where there are groups, and you may have Twitter where they might spark up conversation. But our site brings everything into one. You can post YouTube videos on our site, you can give tutorials, you can upload your photos from your Facebook account and Instagram account and, most importantly, you can post your favorite products from our site.”
