The Rebello twins of Portuguese descent are members of Beta Sigma Phi sorority at Hofstra, a private college on Long Island, New York. Nearly 13,000 students attend the university, which is about 25 miles east of New York City. A private vigil was held in her honor at the school’s student center on Friday night.
