Earlier this week, Porsha Stewart claimed that her estranged husband, Kordell Stewart, had locked her out of their mansion and changed the locks on her. This action turns their already messy divorce into an even bigger mess. Now, Stewart has filed legal documents of his own and admitted to changing the locks on Porsha.
According to HipHollywood.com, Stewart is claiming that he did change the locks to their home but, only after Porsha “abandoned the marital home on April 2nd, 2013.”
“(Porsha) established a routine of leaving (the) pre-marital residence without explanation and without consideration of the detrimental effects such behavior would have on the parties’ marriage , and (Kordell’s) nine year old son,” Stewart added.
Stewart also claims that he tried to tell Porsha about the lock changes via text message.
“Hey reaching out not knowing who may or may not have keys to the house at this point, I was concerned for our safety so I changed the locks on the house. If and when you need to get in, give me a heads up so you can get in”, the text, which we’ve seen, reads,” claims Stewart.
Since being kicked out, Porsha has been staying with her mother. But Stewart claims that he should not be obligated to provide Porsha with a new residence because she has money of her own.
“She is a celebrity and has the income through appearances, endorsements, Bravo and other entities …(Porsha) should be capable of supporting herself but may not be able to as a result of her own financial negligence,” said Stewart.
