She torpedoed to the top of the Hollywood stratum with mega-blockbuster classics Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in the 1980s. But she pretty much evaporated from the A-list right after she had corrective surgery to her nose that drastically altered her appearance. She said that even longtime friends didn’t recognize her at first sight. And, unfortunately, neither did casting directors anymore. The surgery ruined her career so completely and quickly that it’s hard to imagine that she was ever a star to begin with.
