San Antonio Spurs All-Star Tim Duncan is getting divorced. His wife of almost 12 years, Amy Duncan, filed for divorce in March according to court documents obtained by the San Antonio Express-News. However, Tim Duncan, a the four-time NBA champion, reportedly asked a Texas judge to delay divorce proceedings until after his San Antonio Spurs are out of the NBA Playoffs. The court papers cited “discord and conflict” as the reasons for the divorce.
Duncan would not speak to reporters after Saturday morning’s shootaround and Spurs spokesman Tom James says the center will not be discussing his family situation until he is ready.
The Duncans got married in July 2001, and they have two children.
