Basketball fashion has come a long way. Back in the day, players wore shorts that nearly exposed their entire thigh. Today, basketball shorts are three times longer. The shorts that are gaining the most attention are the Nike Elite shorts.

These shorts were first introduced by the USA men’s and women’s basketball teams in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. They have been incorporated into our culture over the last five years: worn all over the nation, from the parks of L.A. to the legendary courts of New York.

In July, Nike will release its most advanced performance shorts, the 2013 Nike Elite Stripe. These shorts will incorporate sweat-wicking Dri-Fit knit fabric, and laser-cut perforations on the side for ventilation. You can’t go wrong with these shorts, especially now that the temperature is rising.
