Jermaine Dupri blasts SunTrust for saying he owes the bank $2 million

Music mogul Jermaine Dupri fired back at SunTrust Bank and VLAD TV for stating that the founder of So So Def Music was in arrears to the bank for almost $2 million.

According to the reports, JD had defaulted on a $4 million loan — paying back just over half of it — that he received from SunTrust. Reports were that SunTrust had filed a lawsuit to recoup the remaining $1.9 million. More importantly, it was said that Dupri was in danger of losing all the rights to his label and music that defined the 1990s, which he reportedly put up as collateral on the loan.

The man who was responsible for writing and producing hits for a gang of music stars, including Mariah Carey, Usher, Da Brat, Kris Kross and Xcape, among others, had this to say via his website, Global14.com. You can tell he was in foul spirits when he wrote his response to the rumors because his message was in all caps:
