Rasheeda before “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta”
Before Rasheeda was making waves on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” she was solely dedicated to her first love — music. Rasheeda, full name Rasheeda Bruckner, took her first stab at a career in hip hop in the ’90s with the teenage rap trio Da Kaperz. The group signed to D-Lo Entertainment founded by Kirk Frost, and released a 1998 self-titled debut project. The group later released music videos for the singles “Don’t Stop” and “Just For You” featuring Jermaine Dupri and Da Brat.
Rasheeda left the group in the early 2000s to embark on a solo career. Now known as Rasheeda the “GA Peach,” the rapper formed another music group, Peach Candy, with her close friend Kandi Burruss. Peach Candy released several singles, including “Bam” produced by Don Vito and “Rain at Home” featuring Lil Scrappy, but the group never released a full-length album.
Now a reality TV star, not much about the emcee has changed. Rasheeda still looks virtually the same and she’s still working on her rap career. She’s now the wife of D-Lo ENT founder Kirk Frost and preparing to have her second child with the executive.
