Comedy royalty has crowd in tears at Straight Jokes! No Chaser show

Luenell hit the stage at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Dec. 28. She said she usually doesn’t go on early in the night, but she doesn’t mind when the rest of the bill is filled with comedy legends.

For the “Straight Jokes! No Chaser” show, even the word “legend” might be an inadequate descriptor for the night’s lineup in the arena. Two Kings of Comedy, Cedric the Entertainer and D.L. Hughley, were the night’s headliners. In addition to Luenell, Earthquake and Damon Williams also performed, with Bruce Bruce hosting and performing a hilarious opening impromptu monologue where he roasted the photographers in the venue’s pit.
