Breakin’ Convention Panel Discussion

The Apollo, in partnership with the Schomburg Center will kick off its first global festival with a panel discussion featuring hip-hop dance icons and participating festival artists. The discussion, led by Breakin’ Convention’s Artistic Director, Jonzi D will explore the art form’s evolution from hip-hop dance which originated in the Bronx in the late 1970s.
Panelists include: Jonzi D, Michele Byrd-McPhee, Jorge “FABEL” Pabon, and Dr. Rennie Harris. Moderated by Kamilah Forbes. Free to the public but registration is required. Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/event/6373209441/eorg
