‘Jersey Shore’
Despite the “Jersey Shore’s” popularity, several New Jersey residents and Italian Americans felt that the show was a bad representation of their communities, and a petition was started to get MTV to cancel the series. MTV, of course, didn’t cancel the show, but the series came to an end in 2012.
