It’s safe to say that Amanda Bynes’ personal life has become quite the public train wreck over the past several months as her behavior has grown increasingly erratic. While some are simply mesmerized by the “wreck” happening in Bynes’ life, her old childhood friend, Nick Cannon, revealed that he’s been watching Bynes’ downward spiral and recently tried to offer her some help.
During a recent interview with Howard Stern, Cannon, who worked with Bynes for two years on Nickelodeon’s “All That,” said that he’s saddened to see what’s been happening with his old friend.
“I worked on Amanda’s show…that’s like my little sister,” Cannon shared. “To see someone you’ve seen at 9 (years old), running around with a snotty nose and now to see her, that’s like wow, man, it’s sad.”
As most know, those sad moments include numerous Twitter beefs with stars like Rihanna, Chrissy Teigen and her former crush, Drake, whom she was asked to “murder” her lady parts. However, she recently called him “ugly.” Bynes also got in trouble last month when she was arrested for allegedly smoking marijuana in her apartment building.
After seeing all of the shenanigans, Cannon said he tried to get in touch with Bynes to lend her a helping hand.
“I tried to reach out,” Cannon explained. But when Stern asked how he tried to reach out, Cannon responded, “That’s the thing she doesn’t have any of her people anymore.”
