Chris Brown faces 4 years in prison on two criminal charges

The Los Angeles City Attorney has filed two criminal charges against Chris Brown, in connection with a minor accident last month where Brown rear-ended a Mercedes Benz and reportedly refused to supply his driver’s license number and gave bogus insurance info to the victim and then left the scene.

The city attorney has charged the R&B bad boy with criminal hit and run, according to tmz.com, for leaving the scene without exchanging proper information. He’s also been charged with driving without a valid license. The crimes are punishable by a maximum of 6 months in jail for each offense.

The City Attorney will refer the matter to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s for a possible probation violation. Remember that Brown plead down to a probation and community service after beating Rihanna to a pulp on the eve of the BET Awards four years ago.

If the judge in that case concludes Breezy broke the law and thereby violated his probation, he could be sentenced to prison for 4 years.
