Chris Brown defends himself on Twitter against hit-and-run reports
After a report surfaced that the Los Angeles City Attorney filed criminal charges against him, Chris Brown lashed out in a rant on Twitter. As previously reported, news broke June 25 that Brown is facing up to four years in jail following a reported hit-and-run incident where he rear-ended a Mercedes-Benz and reportedly refused to supply his driver’s license number. It was later reported that he provided false insurance information before leaving the scene.
According to Brown, however, news of his legal issues are grossly inaccurate and the result of yellow journalism. On Tuesday, the singer changed his Twitter photo to a photograph of the reported hit-and-run (pictured below) and went on a lengthy rant against TMZ, who first broke the story.
“@TMZ is the devil,” said Brown. “Just yesterday you guys were accusing me of assaulting someone (which is false) and now today it’s some more BS. My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for this bullying and yellow journalism! […] “I work my a– off to provide for my entire family. I’ve made mistakes in the past and have worked hard to be a better person,” Brown added.
