One of the 1990s most underrated acts delivered a superb set of songs on this project. The sweeping balladry of “Anniversary,” sits well alongside the sultry “Lay Your Head On My Pillow;” and the Stax tribute “If I Had No Loot” sounded so authentic, many fans thought it was an Otis Redding or Sam & Dave cover.
