Evelyn Lozada covers Latina magazine
A basketball wife is revamping her image and covering the pages of Latina magazine. Evelyn Lozada, 37, is opening up to the publication about her infamous domestic violence situation with Chad Johnson and her divorce.
According to Lozada, immediately after her argument with her husband she knew things would change.
“At that point, I knew my life would never be the same,” said Lozada. “I knew the world was going to laugh at me and be mean and nasty and blame me for everything. But I had no choice. I had to go to the hospital.”
She later revealed that she would be starting her “Pain Is Not Love” foundation centered around fellow domestic abuse victims and is working to turn her life around. Lozada recently got re-baptized and is working with life coach Tony Gaskins, Jr.,
“Tony was talking to me about soul ties. I felt like I needed to cut that cord [with Johnson],” said Lozada. “I wanted to do things differently, to start over. I’m still going to be Evelyn but I have a different vision of my life.”
Viewers will see first hand just how much Lozada’s life has changed for the better when Basketball Wives returns to VH1 this fall.
