Joey Chestnut wins 7th consecutive Nathan’s hot dog contest

At 29 years old, Joey Chestnut is the competitive eater who has won the infamous annual 4th of July Nathan’s hot dog contest. The 6 foot tall, 220 pound man has won the previous six years and broke his own records in the last three. Chestnut’s grand total was 69 and totaled a whopping 21,321 calories.

The contest that is held every year and contestants are given 10 minutes to eat as many Nathan’s hot dogs as they can complete with a bun. Through the years Chestnut’s winning has ranged between 56 and 68 hot dogs per win. The California native, won by 18 hot dogs.
