Andray Blatche, of the Brooklyn Nets will not be charged with sexual assault. The NBA player was accused of sexual assault by a woman in January. According to reports, the woman told police that she was raped in a Philadelphia hotel room as Blatche watched from the doorway.
After the alleged attack, the woman gave an interview to a TV station in Philadelphia. Blatche could have faced prison if charged and convicted on sexual assault. He was interviewed by police on the morning after the attack, released from custody and joined his team to play against the 76ers later that evening.
Philadelphia police revealed that they did a thorough investigation and determined that Blatche and his friends will not face sexual assault charges.
The Brooklyn Nets have signed Blatche to a two year contract worth $2.8 million.
