Temar Boggs saves abducted 5-year-old girl

Pennsylvania teen Temar Boggs is being called a hero after he had an inkling that he would find an abducted girl and acted on the hunch to find her. Boggs, 15, told Fox 43 that he was just being a “normal person” when he followed a vehicle in his neighborhood and found 5-year-old kidnap victim Jocelyn Rojas.

Last week a massive search was underway in Lancaster Township for Rojas, who had been taken and reportedly assaulted by someone described as an older white man wearing “distinctive clothing.”

After joining the search to find Rojas, Boggs suddenly had a gut feeling that he would find the missing child and asked his friend Chris Garcia to help him.

According to Lancaster Online, the teens rode their bikes around area streets until Boggs spotted a maroon car and after following it for a while, saw an older white man and a little girl inside.

The driver then looked at the two teens, stopped the car and pushed the girl out before speeding away.

“She [Jocelyn Rojas] runs to my arms and said, ‘I need to see my mommy,’ ” said Boggs about the scared child.

Boggs carried the little girl back to safety and eventually delivered her back to her mother.

He has since been heralded as a hero by not only Rojas’ family but by his own mother, Tamika Boggs, who expressed pride over his behavior.

“You just hope you raise your child the right way,” Tamika Boggs told Lancaster Online about her son. “He’s learning what I tell him, to help others.”
