Tell me about L.O.U.D.?
L.O.U.D. Muzik is an acronym for “Living Out your Dreams Through Muzik”. L.O.U.D. is your standard full functioning record label but what sets us apart from other labels is our ability to craft up and coming talent. We take pride in crafting bright, talented artists that can bring timeless music to today’s generation. L.O.U.D. also provides artist development, management, video production, and marketing services as well.
How did you get involved in the music industry?
I started off working and interning in the strategic marketing field with J Records and State Property South recording labels. I parlayed those connections into a career with the legendary fashion lines FUBU, Akademiks Clothing, and Makavelli. As I continued to grow my name in the entertainment industry I was contacted by RND Distribution and was given the position of A&R Marketing Director. While at RND I was responsible for overseeing new releases and securing relationships with national and regional retail outlets.
Who are the top artists currently on your roster?
Tim Ned is our debut artist and he is a very accomplished producer, singer, rapper and songwriter. Tim’s single Victory is generating a strong awareness on youtube and his debut release SkyHigh has received rave revues from various hip hop blogs and media outlets. The newest artist to the L.O.U.D. family is rapper and producer SupaStaar. SuperStaar is well known for writing producing and being featured on the 2009 Hurricane Chris “Halle Berry” anthem. SupaStaar also has a songwriting deal with Ultra Music Publishing and has been credited with writing songs for Nelly, Ludacris and 50 Cent. As a new record label we are not focused on growing our roster to be the biggest or doing it the fastest but we are driven to make it the best and find artists that fit the L.O.U.D. format.
What’s next for L.O.U.D. Muzik?
We will be having our label launch party at Vida Lounge on Saturday, July 20th and will debut new music from Tim Ned and the official video release for SuperStaar’s new video “Well Well Well”.
