DuBois — A brilliant scholar, social scientist, historian and extremely prolific author — including the immortal classic The Souls of Black Folks — William Edward Burghart Du Bois was the c0-founder of the NAACP and in his advancing years settled in Ghana in West Africa at the request of then-Ghananian president Kwame Nkrumah where he died at age 95.
