No. 6 14 Shots To the Dome by LL Cool J (1993)
LL has been a lot of things over the course of his 30 year career: a cocky battle rapper, a ladies man, a race relations expert/slash Confederate apologist; but one thing James Todd Smith has never been is a gangsta. Nonetheless, he released this embarrassing project at the height of the West Coast’s gangsta dominance of hip-hop. No one bought it–his new image, or his record.
