Traci: The guy that I was engaged to didn’t accept the fact that I wanted to be a DJ and that I was so passionate about it …
Drew: Her first DJ gig he stood in front of the DJ booth …
Traci: … He wanted a woman to work and then come home. And as a DJ, you’ll be out at 3, 4 and 5 o’clock in the morning. And he said “my wife is not doing this.” And because I loved it so much, I had to give one of them up and I wasn’t giving up being a DJ.
Drew: And then she saw me and was like “upgrade!” …
Traci: No. And he said “you’re a natural” and he was pushing me toward my passion. So I gravitated toward him once me and my fiancé separated. Because I saw his love and passion for something and I didn’t even know what it is. And he was rubbing me the right way, saying, “You gotta do this. You gotta do this.”
