Trance: Simon (James McAvoy), a fine-art auctioneer, joins a gang of thieves led by Franck (Vincent Cassel) to steal a priceless piece of art. Simon suffers a head injury, leaving him with no memory of where he hid the valuable Goya painting. When physical threats fail to break through Simon’s amnesia, Franck hires a hypnotherapist, Elizabeth (Rosario Dawson) to find the answer. Drama ensues when Elizabeth probes the recesses of Simon’s mind, unlocking both truth and deceit.
