O.J. Simpson granted parole
O.J. Simpson has been granted parole on charges stemming from his 2008 kidnapping and armed robbery convictions. According to the Associated Press, The Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners released an order approving the former NFL star’s parole request on Wednesday.
Simpson told a two-member parole panel last week that he was a changed man and had been on his best behavior in prison. He also expressed regret for his crime of holding up two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel room.
Simpson’s parole does not mean he’s off the hook however, he will remain in jail for at least four more years on sentences that were ordered to run consecutively.
