Cincinnati resident Candance Morris was sentenced to one year in prison for having sex with two teenagers without informing them of her HIV-positive status.

According to WLWT, Morris, 32, attended a friend’s house party on New Year’s Eve. However, once her friend went to sleep with her mate, Morris stayed up late with the woman’s teenage son and her nephew. Morris eventually had sex with the two boys and engaged in oral sex with both.

The next day, the boys revealed what happened and police arrested Morris. Morris initially claimed the teenage boys were the aggressors, but she decided to take a plea deal instead of facing a 30-year prison sentence.

Morris was convicted of four counts of sexual contact with minors and sentenced to one year in prison. The mother of one of the victims believes that Morris didn’t receive enough punishment for her crime and remains outraged with the sentence.

Both of the teens have tested negative for HIV.
