Black student at University of Texas hit in the face with bleach by white students

BLACKTEXAS

Racism continues to plague a major college in the South. According to reports by ThinkProgress, Bryan Davis, a black student, was visiting a friend near campus when he was hit in the face with a balloon filled with bleach.

In October of 2012, Austin, Texas, police investigated cases where four other minority students were attacked with bleach. Davis revealed that he doesn’t feel safe walking through the University of Texas campus. Although Davis reported the crime to the Austin police, there have been no arrests made in the case.

Black students at the University of Texas have rallied to urge the Austin Police Department to put a stop to the attacks.
