After Drake’s latest opus leaked, a number of fans noticed that he gave a shout out to an Atlanta woman who worked at a local restaurant. Late Sunday the rapper’s “Nothing Was The Same” album hit the web and ignited several reactions. Furthermore, many people noted that he gave a shout out a woman named Courtney who apparently worked at a Hooters restaurant on Peachtree Road.
“The one that I needed was Courtney from Hooters on Peachtree/ I’ve always been feeling like she was the piece to complete me,” rapped Drake on the song From Time.”
Just mere hours after the track’s release the woman in question was identified as Middle Georgia College graduate named Courtney Janell. Janell, 25, apparently had the OVO rapper bewitched with her beauty but has since moved on. Now engaged to be married and working as a hairstylist, Janell has appeared in music videos for The Dream, Yung L.A., and Travis Porter.
She has since taken to Instagram to confirm that she’s indeed the woman that the Canadian rapper dished about on his album.
“My phone has been BLOWING UP all night. From my text messages, to my twitter feed, to my email,” said Janell. ” YES Drake put me in a song. Just answered the question everyone’s been wondering.”
