John Legend and Tamar Braxton: The Tuesday new music rundown

Fall is unofficially here, and it looks like fans of lovers’ music will get a lot of new stuff to fill up their “cuffin’ season” playlists.

After a spring season that was dominated by a lot of indie rock releases, and a summer that pretty much belonged to hip-hop, R&B comes roaring to the forefront this week — with several high-profile releases. Reality star Tamar Braxton looks to follow her rival K. Michelle‘s lead and turn TV infamy into a credible recording career with her debut solo release; John Legend drops his first album in almost five years, and we get solid albums from vets Jaheim and Raheem DeVaughn. And there’s some pretty cool music from non-R&B stars this week, too.
