Cleveland kidnapper Ariel Castro kills himself; Twitter reacts

Ariel Castro, 53, the man who came to be known as the Cleveland kidnapper is deceased. Recently sentenced to serve 1,000 years in prison for holding three young ladies captive for a decade, he was found about 9.20pm on Tuesday, Sep. 3, 2013 at Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio. He’s only served one month of his prison term that resulted after being found guilty of 937 counts including kidnapping, rape and battery. In solitary confinement, much like the women he tortured, Castro apparently hanged himself between his routine every 30-minute checks by corrections officers and pronounced dead at 10:52 p.m.

His self-inflicted death proves the young women (Amanda Berry, Michelle Knight and Gina DeJesus) are much more courageous and stronger than him. It’s ashame he stole so many years from them.
