Elite Class raises the bar for rappers in Atlanta

Elite Class2

There’s something to be said about a name and for Atlanta resident, by way of Mississippi rapper Elite, his moniker not only speaks volumes about his mic skills but it also happens to be a testament of his character. “I honestly enjoy giving back to anybody that’s lacking,” explains the MC in his signature southern drawl.

“Whether that’s money, knowledge or basic necessities, I really want to use my gift as a platform to inspire and uplift as many people as I can.” And the poetic artist doesn’t just talk the talk, he puts his time and attention where his heart is, literally. He recently participated in the anti-violence My Heartbeat Matters campaign alongside R&B artist Verse Simmonds and Grammy Award-winning music producer Zaytoven.

In 2010, Elite debuted his aptly entitled mixtape First Impression that spoke volumes of his intrinsic talent. The project left such a bold statement amongst the underground scene that he followed it up with Mississippi GA in 2011 as an ode to his home state, as well as his current place of residence. With an established name, he returned in 2012 with the same consistency and dropped Blessing In Disguise.

The motivational rapper is gearing up for the release of his fourth mixtape A.D.I.D.A.S, an acronym for All Day I Dream About Success, which is guaranteed to have the same detailed craftsmanship as his past efforts. Elite is a believer in the quality over quantity mantra, one of the reasons why he spends 12 months to birth a mixtape. The first single “Crazy Stupid,” is an up-tempo celebratory anthem that also bangs hard in the club with its heavy 808-drum pattern.

You have to admire Elite’s impeccable brand of persistence, work ethic and professionalism to reach the top, a few boss qualities he shares with his other musical influences: Jay Z, Lil Wayne, TuPac and Young Jeezy.  His versatile style shows he respects the traditional elements of Hip-Hop while challenging musical boundaries.
