Tyree Lincoln Smith, 35, hacked Angel “Tun Tun” Gonzalez to death, then he ate his eye and parts of his brain with chopsticks and drank a bottle of sake. He even commented that Gonzalez’s eye “tasted like an oyster.” The gruesome attack happened December 2011. On Monday, Sept. 10. 2013, Smith was found not guilty of this crime by reason of insanity. He’s apologized for this heinous act of cannibalism and will be committed for up to up to 60 years in a psychiatric hospital in Connecticut.

“I’m really sorry for what I did, that I couldn’t be myself,” he said while in the Bridgeport, Conn., courtroom. “It really had nothing to do with the other person.”
