Mariah Carey was allegedly depressed about the recent break-up of her three-year relationship with Latin heart-throb Luis Miguel, who was her first serious boyfriend after her failed marriage to Sony Music chief Tommy Mottola, reportedly was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation back in 2001 after her mom called emergency services after finding Carey in her New York hotel room laughing and bleeding from slit wrists and cuts to her body.
