“Writing Sessions Unplugged”– BET Hip Hop Awards edition
On Thursday, September 26th, a bevy of industry professionals from across the country came together during BET Hip Hop Awards weekend to discuss one of the most an epidemic killing teens nationwide.
Rapper Issa, RL of Next fame, Nikko from “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” and a heap of others tackled the topic of bullying and touched on personal experiences with the subject. The panel was lead by Joy Young (below) of the “Stop Your Bullying” initiative who felt personally touched by local events tied to the taunting that led young people to take their lives.
Also on hand was local Hip-Hop staple Fort Knox who hyped the crowd alongside DJ Hershey and introduced beat makers M16 and Will Power. Other guests included rapper Jaquees, DJ Eddie F and Lady B who played moderator.
