Thousands of consumers came out to the Fall edition of the World Natural Hair, Health and Beauty Show at the Georgia Convention Center. Many were there for the instructional classes while others were there to find and buy new products. But I think everyone was there to enjoy the fashion shows, the performances, the competitions, the sisterly sharing and wonderful vibe when so many come together in such a positive and productive way and of course, the afterparty!
The spectrum of people in attendance ranged from those who “are just thinking” about going natural to one brother I met who has grown his dreds for the past 23 years (he won $250 in the “Longest Natural Hair” competition). Some of the vendors gave out samples so that you could try a little of their product to see if it was right for you and many were there selling the newest accessories as well, even jewelry.
