Cee Lo Green may have some legal issues ahead, but the charismatic Goodie MOB frontman won’t be losing his TV gig over them. It is being reported that sexual assault charges against Cee Lo are due to be dropped by the Los Angeles District Attorney yet, he is slated to still face charges that he furnished ecstasy. The hip-hop star had been accused of drugging a woman without her knowledge.

But Mark Burnett, the executive producer of “The Voice,” told TMZ that “Cee Lo will not be fired” from his current position as judge on the hit show. Cee Lo and co-host Christina Aguilera were already slated to leave the show next season, but representatives from NBC have stated that they knew nothing of the charges until the TMZ story broke.

They are due to be replaced by singers Usher and Shakira.

Cee Lo has adamantly denied the charges and also reportedly wanted the D.A. and the Los Angeles Police Department to investigate the situation. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the accuser had been in an intimate relationship with Cee Lo for several months prior to the night of the alleged incident.

“Mr. Green encouraged a full and complete investigation of those claims and he was confident once conducted he would be cleared of having any wrongful intent and it would be established that any relations were consensual,” Green’s attorney Blair Berk said. “Cee Lo had faith that if the true facts were known the district attorney would reject those charges.”
