It was a star-studded family event when Kanye West popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, in an over-the-top manner at AT&T Park in San Francisco earlier this week. However, the one person who wasn’t there was Kim’s famous stepdad, Bruce Jenner, who reportedly wasn’t invited to the event.
According to TMZ, not only was Jenner not invited to the engagement surprise, he didn’t learn about it until after Kim accepted West’s proposal.
Sources close to the family say that West and Jenner, who moved out of the Kardashian family home when West moved in, have never had a “real conversation,” and Jenner wasn’t happy with Kim moving on to West so shortly after her split with Kris Humphries.
It’s unclear why West, who planned the entire event, left Jenner out, or if it was because Jenner’s separation from Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner.
However, sources claim that Kim still sees Jenner as her dad and that she made sure that he was the first person she called after getting engaged.
We’re not sure if there’s any bad blood between West and Jenner, but we hope they don’t end up having a major feud like these other bitter in-laws below. Check them out after the cut. –nicholas robinson
