Reed, a former Georgia state senator who barely won the position of CEO of Atlanta four years ago (by a mere 700 votes), won in a non-eventful landslide during Election Day 2013. Reed is a rising national star in the Democratic Party and mayor of one of the most important “black cities” in America. Can he replicate the impressive political feats accomplished by recently-elected junior Sen. Cory Booker, the former mayor of Newark, N.J.?
