Four people have been arrested and charged in the kidnapping of a Newport Beach, Calif. marijuana dispensary owner. They allegedly tortured him with a blowtorch, poured bleach on him to destroy DNA evidence and cut off his penis during a robbery. Kyle Handley has plead not guilty. Ryan Anthony Kevorkian, 34, Naomi Josette Kevorkian, 33, and Hossein Nayeri, 34, were also arrested and charged with kidnapping for ransom, aggravated mayhem, torture, burglary and a sentencing enhancement for inflicting great bodily injury.
The perpetrators thought the victim was burying piles of cash in the desert. The victim and his roommate’s girlfriend were kidnapped and driven out to a spot in the desert where they tortured him before dumping him and woman on the side of the road.
