In a video released to promote the upcoming release of NBA2K 14, basketball legend Michael Jordan reveals exactly who he would include on his perfect pick-up team. His Airness doesn’t bother with any of the superstars that have emerged in his wake–so there is nothing to fuel any Kobe Bryant vs. Lebron James debates this time around.
No, this time, the Chicago Bulls great says that he would stick strictly with the players of his own era. The former Chicago Bulls superstar picked his former running mate Scottie Pippen, as well as Laker legends Magic Johnson and James Worthy. He chose Houston Rockets icon Hakeem Olajuwon as his big man in the middle.
“I got no chance of losing. None at all,” Jordan says.
With the exception of Olajuwon, Jordan has history playing with each of the guys he named. Of course, he and Pippen teamed up as one of the all-time great NBA tandems from 1987-1998 in Chicago; he and Worthy were cornerstones on a North Carolina Tar Heel squad that won the NCAA championship in 1982. Jordan and Magic, alongside other legendary NBA superstars like Charles Barkley, Larry Bird and Patrick Ewing, played together on the famed “Dream Team” at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.
