A newborn baby in Quibdo, Colombia came back to life 10 hours after she was pronounced dead by doctors. According to the Spanish news outlet Semana. Jenny Hurtado gave birth to Milagros after only being 27 weeks pregnant.

When doctors performed an emergency C-section on Hurtado, Milagros was born prematurely and didn’t show any signs of life. Doctors pronounced the baby dead 35 minutes later.

Milagros was placed in a small box and taken to the morgue. Doctors waited for the child’s father to arrive so that he could take the child’s body. However, once the baby’s father arrived, she began letting out a soft cry.

Once it was discovered that she was still alive, Milagros was rushed on a plane to Santa Teresita clinic in Bogota. The baby is currently receiving treatment for underdeveloped lungs and is currently in the intensive care unit.
