Veteran hip-hop star Jeezy announced via Twitter on yesterday (November 20) that he has linked with Jay Z‘s Roc Nation. Jay’s company will now conduct business for Jeezy and his Corporate Thugz Entertainment brand.  It is being reported that Jeezy and Jay are planning to partner to create a new management agency.

After Roc Nation posted, “Welcome Jeezy to Roc Nation. CTE x Roc Nation x It’s Tha World,” across all of their social media accounts, Jeezy himself followed with a picture of he and Jay Z, along with the caption: ““CTE x Rocnation x #itsthaworld Its OFFICIAL.”

The Atlanta rapper drew attention recently by blasting his record label Def Jam. In a series of tweets, Jeezy made it clear that he was not happy with the way things were being handled at the label. “Ni–as @DefJamRecords keep playing games if you want!,” he tweeted. “If Def Jam don’t get this right y’all got an early xmas gift #myfans.”

That tweet was retweeted by Epic Records head L.A. Reid, fueling speculation that Jeezy was looking to depart his longtime label.

Jeezy’s #ItsThaWorld mixtape was released this past May, with #ItsThaWorld2 slated for a November 27 release.

Roc Nation’s roster includes everyone from J. Cole to Rihanna in a wide range of services, including actual label signings, management, touring and marketing.
