Tahiry Loses Joe But Gains a Sister
At the top of the episode, Tahiry stops by Rashidah’s wedding dress fitting. She tries to put on a brave face and not spoil the mood but she eventually tells Rashidah that she won’t wear a white dress of her own with Joey. Despite her sadness, Tahiry shares a ray of hope when she reveals that her sister, Lexie, who hasn’t spoken to her in five years, has finally reached out to her. When they meet, Lexie tells Tahiry that she walked away from her because she always chose Joe over the rest of her family. Lexie also tells Tahiry that their father got kicked out of his apartment. Tahiry is in tears as she takes it all in and although she doesn’t feel that she neglected Lexie, she promises to make up for failing her little sister.
