Sharkeisha arrested

A bully-turned-Internet sensation for the brutal beating of a fellow student is finally in jail. Sharkeisha James 16, was arrested Wednesday, Dec.4, in Harris County, Texas, according to Olevia Henderson, the mother of Sharkeisha’s victim, Sha’Michael Manuel.

According to Manuel, James has been charged with a misdemeanor for the videotaped assault of her daughter that went viral online. She is currently being held at a juvenile detention center. A second girl identified only as Shelby, may be arrested for luring Sha’Michael to a home where the fight took place.

Rolling out recently spoke with Henderson, who gave us an update on the case and expressed her displeasure over the misdemeanor charge.

“I am thankful to everyone for prayers and phone calls I hope the charge might be upgraded to a felony,” said Henderson.

“I pray for her mom as well as the child [Sharkeisha] herself. Glory to God because I know he has given my baby a story to tell about bullying.”

Henderson and her daughter are continuing to do interviews about the incident in hopes of spreading an anti-bullying message.
