Mathew Knowles denies deadbeat dad claims

Things between Mathew Knowles and his baby’s mother, Aleksandra Wright, haven’t been great ever since their split. Last week things came to a dramatic head when Wright accused Knowles of skipping two months of child support for their three-year-old son, Nixon, totallying $24,000. Now, Knowles has finally responded to Wright’s claims and denying that he’s a deadbeat dad.

In a statement to Sister 2 Sister, Knowles’ legal spokesperson, Ken Harris, asserted that Knowles has always made his child support payments.

“There have been several media reports [this week] suggesting that Mr. Knowles has a delinquency concerning his child support obligation to Ms. Alexsandra Wright,” Mathew’s spokesman Ken Harris stated. “At this point, Mr. Knowles’ financial advisers indicate that he is current concerning that obligation.”

Harris claims that there’s no way that Knowles would’ve skipped a payment and he asserts that Knowles will make his next payment that is due towards the end of the month.

“Mr. Knowles takes his obligation related to the support of his son very seriously,” Ken explained. “To that end, Mr. Knowles has consistently provided support during all periods for which he has been legally obligated.”

Ken added, “Mr. Knowles’ child support obligation has been the subject of substantial litigation over the past year. A mediation concerning this matter has been scheduled for later this month.”

If the former couple cant’ resolve their dispute soon, they’ll end up resolving the matter at their next hearing in 2014 where outstanding issues and adjustments can be tended to.

For the sake of Nixon, Knowles is making his payments and the two parents can come to a place of peace instead of keeping the child embroiled in drama.
