This was an epic fail. Heads are probably rolling like bowling balls down the hallways at RCA Records after some imbecilic executive convinced R. Kelly that starting a #AskRKelly hashtag would be a good idea.
Robert Kelly was promoting the debut of his new album, Black Panties, when he imprudently prompted social media users to ask him questions about his latest project. Kelly, one of the most prolific R&B songwriters of all time, is still viewed by many as a vile child predator who allegedly urinated on, and had sexual relations with, an underage girl about a decade ago.
Black Twitter was merciless as they were relentless. They dragged him through cyberspace like a bunch of wedding cans on the back of a limousine.
Yooo “@LeoInStilettos: “@Ur_N_Good_Hands: When you wrote 12 Play, were you teaching your boo how to count? #AskRKelly“”
