Last week was my 4th annual “Give Back Tour.” I broadcasted live from five different locations in metro Atlanta each day as we collected toys, baby items, coats, toiletries, linens and more. All proceeds benefited three local non-profits: Cascade House, Covenant House and the Atlanta Children’s Shelter.
I’d like to extend a special thanks to all those who stopped by and brought out donations. Shout out to Nicci Gilbert, Isaac Caree, Towanda Braxton, “Married to Medicine’s” Mariah Huq & Quad Webb-Lunceford, Q Parker, Algebra Blessett, Malinda Williams, Mayor Evelyn Wynn-Dixon, Tasha Cobbs, 11Alive’s Karyn Greer, Shay Johnson, Brandy Lynn, Bobby Valentino, Mike Kap and Cato Records.
I would like to personally thank YOU from the bottom of my heart and top of my spirit, for such a successful turnout. We received thousands of coats, toys, baby items, and amazing monetary donations as well! Together, we have made a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate, especially during this holiday season.
This event means so much too so many people and I can’t thank the local community enough for its support. I relocated with my family to Atlanta in 2011 to join the V-103 family and I instantly fell in love with the warmth of the people of Atlanta, and the city I now call home. However, after much consideration I have decided that the time is right for me to take a break from the station while I look to focus on a number of upcoming multi-media business opportunities. Have no fear; I have 19 years of my life invested in radio, and I have no plans of walking away from it permanently. I am very excited about the dynamic year ahead I have in store.
In 2014, I will host several upcoming seasons of my popular HGTV series”Property Virgins,” launch a national tour to promote my real estate book, continue as a national speaker, and work on three new shows I co-created and will executive produce. I have enjoyed the past two years I spent as an on-air talent at V-103, and am looking forward to all the great blessings God continues to consistently place in my life. Thank YOU and all the people of Atlanta….I love you!
Happy Holidays,
