Rosie Pate, 68, has been arrested after allegedly making a phone call to 911 operators and requesting beer.

The Memphis,Tenn. grandmother’s criminal complaint states that Pate got into an argument with her granddaughter and slapped her, which left a scratch, because she wouldn’t buy Pate a beer.

The grandmother, of course,  is denying the allegations: “I have lived to be 68 years old and I never dialed no police to bring me beer, I wouldn’t dare dial 911 to tell the police to bring me some beer. No ma’am.”

Pate has been charged with domestic assault and making a non-emergency 911 call. She also faces a $50 fine for the non-emergency call.
