LeBron James, Miami Heat unveil nickname jerseys

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen and the Miami Heat have finally revealed the nickname jerseys that have been officially sanctioned by the National Basketball Association.

The two-time defending NBA champions will wear the following nicknames on their jerseys from the sport’s “Name Collection” that will be unveiled during Friday’s nationally televised game against the Brooklyn Nets.

The three-time Eastern Conference champs will also wear the nickname jerseys at three Heat home games: on Jan. 21 vs. the Boston Celtics and the March 12 and April 8 games against the Nets.


Most could have guessed that LBJ was going to roll with “King James” and Ray Allen would have the famous “Jesus Shuttlesworth” embroidered on the back of his jersey as commemoration of his role in the classic 1998 Spike Lee film He Got Game.
